4 Tips with Clips | FIND the Football

In this edition of 4 tips with clips, we are taking a look at man coverage specifically on the outside, with an emphasis on finding the football.

In the clips below in the video, I have two winning clips, and two losing clips, for lack of a better term. Of course,  I’m going talk to you through all 4 of the clips and we are going to learn something from each clip in the video.

There are a lot of aspects to man coverage, so if you’re pressing it’s not just what happens at the line of scrimmage, but what is happening down the field and ultimately when the ball comes. The emphasis in this segment is primarily on when the ball comes, although I talk all the way through the rep.

Finding the football is important. Too many DBs have neglected this part of the game and end up being mediocre or not very good at all. Developing the ability to find the football will take your game to a whole new level and make you a dangerous defensive back, so if that is an issue that you find yourself having, this is definitely a video that you need to watch.
