November What Did He Do Wrong Breakdowns ’23

These are all of the what did he do wrong post from my Instagram in November. Pay attention to the details that I discuss in this video as it can help you at any level.

The basic theme for most of the clips is just knowing when to get vertical as a defensive back in a man coverage situation. I think that is one of the biggest struggles for DBs when they are playing man. Outside of not looking for the ball at the correct time, the next biggest mistake is not knowing when to get up the field on the WiR you are covering.

So pay attention to what I’m saying about that specific fact in these videos. Simply by doing that you can save yourself from a lot of tragic situations when you are covering man to  man. If you are a cornerback, I have a great drill posted in my drill section for pressman that goes over getting vertical versus a wide receiver when you’re playing press. It is called kick and get up. You could do yourself a lot of good by drilling yourself over and over with that drill. I use that one a lot when I’m training NFL DBs.  It really helps them be in better position when they’re playing pressman.
