Post Views: 1,757 The 4 Cone Shadow Drill is designed to have your defensive backs work on their post line of scrimmage press, man skills. As you will see in the video down below, we are working on our body positioning and eye discipline as the route moves down the field and gets to the top of the route. The important skills at work and being trained in this drill are eye discipline, body positioning, and efficient foot work as the receivers make their way down the field. It is important to spend as much time working on your post line of scrimmage press man skills as you do working on your at the line of scrimmage press man skills. The better competition that you face, the more likely that the wide receiver will escape your press man techniques at the line as he moves his route down the field. When that happens, you better know what to do or you will lose the rep and give up a catch. Check out the video down below for a full explanation of the 4 cone shadow drill.
