When you run two high safeties there are a lot of options when you’re playing zone. That is the reason why a lot of teams are moving to having two high safeties in pre-snap looks.

One of the less common coverages that is run out of two high safeties is cover 8. Most coaches stick to Quarters, cover 2 and at times, cover 6. However,  cover 8 is an interesting little tweak to those coverages that can help you give the offense a different look and confuse their reads.

In the video below,  I gave you a full explanation of cover 8. It’s a simple tweak to another two high coverage. Pay attention to the details and as always,  if you have any questions,  feel free to reach out to me via email at cwilson@alleyesdbcamp.com – thank you for being a member.
