Post Views: 3,391 When you run two high safeties there are a lot of options when you’re playing zone. That is the reason why a lot of teams are moving to having two high safeties in pre-snap looks. One of the less common coverages that is run out of two high safeties is cover 8. Most coaches stick to Quarters, cover 2 and at times, cover 6. However, cover 8 is an interesting little tweak to those coverages that can help you give the offense a different look and confuse their reads.
