Post Views: 1,720 This is just a short video using a clip from Receiver School on Instagram. It’s a defender attempting to use catch technique vs. a slot. It’s a losing rep for the DB. In the video I breakdown what went wrong and why not overplaying your leverage is important. Many times defenders will get too wrapped up in holding their either inside or outside leverage that they end up making it easy for WRs to get separation and win. I tell you in this clip what the defender should have done to hold his leverage without overplaying it and make it easier to stay on a WRs hip in the slot while attempting to play catch technique. There’s no room for fear when playing catch. Fear is the enemy along with bad eyes.
