Post Views: 2,087 This post is overdue but here it is. I posted a press man video on my Instagram account @alleyesdbcamp with my athletes using a patience step and it triggered quite a few comments, DM’s and questions so it makes sense for me to explain this for my members. In the video at the end of this post, I talk in depth about how I use the patience step. This includes how to line up, which foot to step with, what happens after the step and how it is used in relation to the defense. I talk about these things along with some other aspects of the technique. It has been a pretty strong technique for those corners that don’t like staying still at the line and being patient waiting for the wide receiver to commit. You can use this instead of a soft press technique which can be too passive at times and allow defensive backs to get eaten up and routed up. It’s a way for a corner to be in motion at the snap of the ball without giving up too much space to the receiver. I cover quite a bit in this video but as always, if you have questions or comments feel free to reach out to me via email at: cwilson@alleyesdbcamp.com – Thank you for being a member!
