Post Views: 1,805 On defense it doesn’t get more simple than Cover 3. It’s probably the most used coverage in the game of football but that doesn’t mean that people run it right. In this video, I will breakdown Cover 3 in it’s most simple form so you get an understanding of the principles of it. This will give you the groundwork that you need to understand all the variations of Cover 3 that come from this very basic of coverages. Few coverages are safer than cover 3. It allows the defense to put 8 men in the box to stop the run while also providing satisfactory deep coverage in the secondary so you don’t give up the big play.
