In so doing, you will get some solid tips on playing catch technique vs. slot WRs.Slot WRs can be a total pain in the ass. They are the ones making the catches on 3rd down and keeping the defense on the field. In our efforts to stop this and force the punt, proper technique is required especially when we want to play man to man vs. slots in these crucial situations.One of the best techniques to play vs. slot WRs is “catch technique”. However, it also one of the toughest techniques to teach as it requires developing a player’s mental aspect too. It’s tough to stand your ground vs. a WR when he is screaming at you for 5 yards at full speed.
