In this month’s breakdown, we have a double move, a back shoulder, a glance route, and just a good old-fashioned go ball.

We will see some common and not-so-common mistakes that we can all learn from. The emphasis is still on maintaining good body positioning and football IQ.

Above all, I will continue to stress that studying the game puts you in the position to physically be where you need to be when the ball arrives. This is an element that cannot be ignored.

Many defensive backs love the physical aspects of preparation for the game, and I understand that. However, the truth is that the mental part of the game plays an even bigger role. Continue to put effort into that area, as it will take you far.
