Post Views: 1,476 By now we have all seen the viral clip of George Pickens jumping over Joey Porter Jr. during 1-on-1s in Steeler’s camp to make an amazing catch. We know that it’s no fun getting skied on, it’s even worse when you have to see it over and over on social media. By the way, I recommend that all defensive backs at all levels stay off of social media during camp. First, you need to focus and second, people love offense and thus the coverage is slanted towards the victories by the wide outs. Now I digress…. In the video below, I breakdown the 1-on-1 rep. Believe it or not, there was a lot of good done in the rep by Porter Jr., the cornerback. However, there was a common mistake made that put him in the position that led to Pickens making the great play on him. You would be interested in finding out what that mistake was and you would do well to avoid it in your own press coverage man to man reps that you take.
