Post Views: 1,454 In our latest edition of What’d He Do Wrong I look at a rep during a game in 2018 between a Boston College cornerback and a Clemson WR. It’s a tough rep but there are some things to learn. In the video, since it is a TV copy, it is difficult to determine what the actual coverage was. I do offer some commentary on what I think it may have been but more importantly, I offer some insight on the mistakes made at the line of scrimmage by the defensive back and how he could have helped himself even against a very physically gifted WR like Clemson WR Tee Higgins. I also talk about having power and balance at the line which is important in being under control once the action during the play begins to move down the field. Your work at the line of scrimmage either prepares you or puts you in bad position once you and the WR start running down the field. This video gives you some tips on how to put yourself in better position as you run down the field to make a play once the ball comes. I also offer some tips on reading the release of the WR and observing his body language downfield to determine the proper course of action as the ball is coming. Enjoy and as always, feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback you may have by sending email to: cwilson@alleyesdbcamp.com – Thank you for being a member.
