Post Views: 1,401If you have run cover 1 on defense, you know how strong a coverage it can be especially if you have really good man-to-man cover guys. However, it is always good to be able to have variations of something that’s working because you know at some point your opponent is going to plot against what it is you are doing .With that in mind, I present to you in the video down below three different variations of cover one that you can use to tweak the reads of the offense while still maintaining the solid structure that cover 1 provides. Cover 1 invert, funnel, and clue allows the defense to show a two high shell pre-snap and rotate into a fairly safe man coverage. It also allows you to change the responsibilities of a few of the inside players just to provide some variety in the coverage to throw off some of the things a quarterback may want to do once he sees a single high post safety.Enjoy the video and as always if you have any questions, feel free to email me at cwilson@alleyesdbcamp.com – thank you for being a member.AuthorRecent Posts alleyesdbcampOwner at All Eyes DB CampChad Wilson is the founder of All Eyes DB Camp and a former standout defensive back for the Miami Hurricanes.
