In this latest installment of my What Did He Do Wrong series, we discuss this red zone rep by defensive back vs. West Virginia WR David Sills. This video clip displays some common mistakes made by cornerbacks when playing press man. I will detail where he went wrong and discuss how we can avoid the pitfalls that we witness in this rep. Staying square at the line of scrimmage is key. Forcing the WR wide is also an important factor. Finally, closing out space when the ball is in the air is critical.
